This work is divided into three sections.  The first section focuses on the biblical journey up through the first century.  The second section covers the rise of Rome through the 1970’s.  The final section deals with the complexities of the challenges facing us in the 21st century.

The book is obviously written from a Biblical world view and a Christian perspective. Brand and Pratt believe, for the health of our country, there has to be a dialogue about the “issues of work, wealth and stewardship”.

Under discussion here is how the Biblical concepts of justice and compassion work out in modern society. This is a heavily researched work, with good details.

This is not light reading, it is a resource to be consulted over and over again. This work will challenge your thinking, as it has mine.  It is a serious body of work that will have you re-reading portions over it over and over to let the concepts sink in.
